Be GREEN and raise GREEN for St. Margaret Mary
by recycling empty printer cartridges and
used cell phones!
FACT: An average student uses between 6-10 inkjets a year. A small-medium sized business can use between 100-800 toners a year.
FACT: Less than 15% of used printer cartridges are recycled each year, meaning over 85% end up in landfills.
FACT: Plastics used in cartridges can take over 1,000 years to decompose.
STUDENTS: please continue collecting and bringing in empty ink & toner cartridges and used cell phones. We earn money by recycling them so don’t forget to check with relatives and businesses.
PARENTS: do you have empty ink & toner cartridges at work that you’d like to donate to the school? Let us know and we’ll have them picked up on a regular basis. All proceeds from your cartridges will go to the school.
