The Parish Office is trying to limit the amount of face to face contact so we ask that you please wear a mask when stopping by. We also have labeled boxes in the breezeway between the two sets of double doors for you to drop off anything you need to turn into the Parish Office. We do check these throughout the day. Or please feel free to use the night drop located before the main Parish building entrance on the right. We have been opening up the church everyday usually by 8:00 a.m. for personal visits during the daytime, which is an opportunity for personal prayer or even personal devotions. We are continuing to live-stream daily rosary (M-Th), our weekday daily Masses at NOON (8:15 a.m. on our School Mass days which are typically Thursdays) and also our Saturday evening 5:00 p.m. Mass.
We invite you to come join us in prayer for one hour before the Blessed Sacrament for Life, all life from conception to natural death. This special Holy Hour is based upon the reflections of Saint John Paul II, Pope Francis and others. Throughout the hour, five sets of readings/responses are prayed, interspersed by extended periods of silent prayer concluding with Benediction. This Holy Hour marks the anniversary of the Roe vs Wade decision and is designated in the USA as a Day of Prayer for the Legal Protection of Unborn Children. We will have a Holy Hour for Life TODAY, January 22 at 7:00 p.m.Click here to read an article in honor of today, the “Day of Prayer for the Legal Protection of Unborn Children“

Blessing of the Bibles
Sunday of the Word of God – 3rd Sunday in Ordinary Time – Jan. 23/24
Bring your family bible to Mass to be blessed.
In an apostolic letter “Aperuit illis” issued September 30, 2020, Pope Francis declared that the 3rd Sunday in Ordinary Time will now be known as “Sunday of the Word of God” and will be devoted to the celebration, study and dissemination of the Holy Scriptures.
To honor this occasion, St. Margaret Mary would like to invite all parishioners to bring their family bible to Masses the weekend of January 23/24 to be blessed. Upon returning home, each family is encouraged to participate in the ancient practice known as “bible enthronement” by dedicating a special or honored place for the bible to be displayed in the home. A pamphlet containing a family friendly Bible Enthronement Service will be made available in the back of church, or online here.

Stuffed Animal Collection
My name is Linda DeGrella. For a couple of years now, I have been collecting gently used and new stuffed animals. I dress them up and donate them to several charitable organizations both in Louisville and Shelbyville. Since the Covid pandemic, my resources have dried up and I myself have not visited the thrift stores as usual. I wash the animals thoroughly and dress them in newborn or 3-6 month clothes, making alterations to the clothes as needed. I would like to continue this mission and hope that my St. Margaret Mary family can help me out. I need new or gently used stuffed animals that have four free- hanging limbs (like we do), approximately 14-20 inches tall. I also could use some newborn or 3-6 month clothes and hats/ scarves for both boys and girls. This collection will be held at ALL Masses Feb. 6/7.

Third Sunday in Ordinary Time (January 24, 2021)
“Jesus said to them, “Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men.” Then they abandoned their nets and followed him.” Mark 1:17-18 If we truly recognize that all the things we have in life are gifts from God, would we be able to heed Christ’s call to give it all up and follow Him?
