The Parish Office is trying to limit the amount of face to face contact so we ask that you please wear a mask when stopping by. We also have labeled boxes in the breezeway between the two sets of double doors for you to drop off anything you need to turn into the Parish Office. We do check these throughout the day. Or please feel free to use the night drop located before the main Parish building entrance on the right. We have been opening up the church everyday usually by 8:00 a.m. for personal visits during the daytime, which is an opportunity for personal prayer or even personal devotions. We are continuing to live-stream daily rosary (M-Th), our weekday daily Masses at NOON (8:15 a.m. on our All School Mass days which are typically Thursdays) and also our Saturday evening 5:00 p.m. Mass.
Our Children’s Formation Coordinator, Tara Mattingly, created a video for the kids to keep them learning and interactive in their growing faith. This week, she covered Noah & the Great Flood. Click here to watch now! To view a list of the previous videos shared, click here.

Basketball Registration
CSAA basketball will be played this year and registration is now open for grades 5-8! We have a much shorter registration period this year and we need to determine the number of teams by Monday, October 19. Please make every effort to sign up before Monday. Signing up now will allow us to get a better count and hopefully keep the team sizes smaller.
We will be following safety guidelines mandated by the CSAA, SMM, the CDC, and the State of Kentucky. Our goal is to keep every player, coach, parent, worker, and official as safe as possible while allowing our kids to enjoy the game of basketball. There will be more information sent out before the season to all parents concerning safety guidelines as well as safety meetings for all coaches. For more info on registration, contact Chris Hennessey at 502-551-7685 or c.hennessey73@yahoo.com
**A decision on basketball for grades 3 and 4 is still pending. The CSAA is working hard to determine if they have enough gym space available to support 3rd & 4th grade basketball this year, but they are very hopeful this season can still be played. We are asking everyone to please fill out this 3 question survey to express your interest in playing so we have a good count of teams. This survey is intended to avoid potential refunds if the season cannot be played. Registration requests will be emailed out once we know the season can be played.

Political Engagement & our Call as Catholic Citizens
In their statement on Forming Consciences for Faithful Citizenship, the U.S. Catholic bishops remind Catholics about the call to participate in political life. “In the Catholic tradition,” they write, “responsible citizenship is a virtue, and participation in political life is a moral obligation” (no. 13). The bishops urge Catholics to form their consciences through being open to truth, studying Scripture and Church teaching, examining facts and background information, and prayerful reflection (no. 18). Visit FaithfulCitizenship.org to learn about the steps you can take to form your conscience, watch videos and access other great resources on conscience formation for faithful citizens. Online Resources for Daily Prayer/Guided Retreat – SacredSpace.ie
This Covid crisis has underlined how much we truly need spiritual, as well as social communication. It might seem strange to pray at your computer, in front of a screen or using your smartphone, but God is everywhere, constantly reaching out to us, even in the most unlikely situations. When we know this, and with a bit of practice, we can pray anywhere!
This week we wanted to highlight an online resource that can help us tend to our spiritual communication during this time of Covid. The website www.sacredspace.ie/ is a ministry of the Irish Jesuits, originating in the offices of the Jesuit Communication Centre in Ireland in 1999. The site guides visitors through a guided session of daily prayer utilizing a selection from the lectionary, as well as offers seasonal online guided retreats.
During this time Sacredspace.ie is offering a 14 Day self-directed retreat called the “Isolation Retreat”. This retreat centers around themes loosely based on the Spiritual Exercises of St Ignatius*. Each day has a specific theme, a preparatory prayer, related scripture quotes, some questions for reflection & concludes with a closing prayer. We hope that you will check out this wonderful resource.
Click here to find & watch our daily and weekend Masses. Our daily Masses are live-streamed on Facebook and YouTube weekdays at 12:00 p.m., except on All School Mass days (typically Thursdays) our Mass will be livestreamed at 8:15 a.m. Our weekend Masses will now be live-streamed every Saturday evening at 5:00 p.m. via Facebook, YouTube and our website.
Please know that you may submit your contributions online, at Mass, mail in or drop off to the Parish Office or in the night drop outside the main entrance.
You are now able to submit your contributions ONLINE. This is a safe & secure way to continue your pledge and support for St. Margaret Mary. You are still welcome to mail in or drop off your donation to the Parish Office or in the locked night drop outside the main entrance to the Parish building. *All current automatic withdrawals are continuing as scheduled. We do encourage parishioners to sign up for the automatic service. The form for that is available online as well. This way of contributing benefits SMM the most because the fees are very minimal.*
