Hopefully you have read Archbishop Kurtz’s letter to all the faithful of our Archdiocese in the Record, but I wish to include some words of my own. Clicking on the link below, you will find our plans to resume the public celebration of the Mass. Please understand there may need to be revisions after the experience of our first weekend. We all rely on our prayers for one another and for the gift of discernment from the Holy Spirit. Let us be patient with one another and serve Christ in one another and for the common good of all.
A reminder, even with allowing for the celebration of “public” Mass, Archbishop Kurtz has issued a dispensation from the obligation to attend Mass on Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation for the Archdiocese of Louisville, until further notice. Anyone who is sick or living with someone who is sick or who feels vulnerable in any way should stay home. St. Margaret Mary will continue offering livestreamed Masses at 5:00 p.m. on Saturdays which would then be uploaded for later viewing, for those who cannot be physically present. Visit our website www.stmm.org or get our weekly email updates. Or you can watch “Mass of the Air” on TV.
Our Children’s Formation Coordinator, Tara Mattingly, created a video for the kids to keep them learning and interactive in their growing faith. This week, she covered the Eucharist: Thanksgiving & Real Presence. Click here to watch now! To view a list of the previous videos shared, click here.

We have been opening up the church everyday usually by 8:00 a.m. for personal visits during the daytime, which is an opportunity for personal prayer or even personal devotions. However, during our live-stream of weekday Mass from 10-10:30 a.m. and 2:00-3:00 p.m. the church remains closed and locked. On Thursdays, the Church will be closed and locked from 10-Noon for daily Mass and recording of the weekend’s Mass. If you find the church to be locked, the most likely reason is because we are recording the coming weekend’s Mass. If you find it locked by mistake, please visit the Parish Office to have someone open it for you.
Click here to find & watch our daily and weekend Masses. Our daily Masses are live-streamed on Facebook and YouTube weekdays at 10:00 a.m. through Tuesday, May 19. Starting on Wednesday, May 20, the livestream time will change to 12-Noon.
This weekend’s Mass will be available online for you to watch tomorrow, May 16th at 5:00 PM. You can find the link via Facebook, our website, and in an email sent right to your inbox an hour before. Please know that you may submit your contributions online, mail in or drop off to the Parish Office or in the night drop outside the main entrance.
You are now able to submit your contributions ONLINE. This is a safe & secure way to continue your pledge and support for St. Margaret Mary. You are still welcome to mail in or drop off your donation to the Parish Office or in the locked night drop outside the main entrance to the Parish building. *All current automatic withdrawals are continuing as scheduled. We do encourage parishioners to sign up for the automatic service. The form for that is available online as well. This way of contributing benefits SMM the most because the fees are very minimal.*
Due to COVID-19, the Parish Office has changed their hours. Most employees will be working from home for precautionary measures. A staff member or two are often coming in for part of the day and when in the office are answering the phones or door bell in the airlock. If you need to speak to a staff member, call us at 426-1588. Or click here for a list of our employees and their emails. We remain at your service.
