Online Resources for Daily Prayer/Guided Retreat – SacredSpace.ie
This Covid crisis has underlined how much we truly need spiritual, as well as social communication. It might seem strange to pray at your computer, in front of a screen or using your smartphone, but God is everywhere, constantly reaching out to us, even in the most unlikely situations. When we know this, and with a bit of practice, we can pray anywhere!
This week we wanted to highlight an online resource that can help us tend to our spiritual communication during this time of Covid. The website www.sacredspace.ie/ is a ministry of the Irish Jesuits, originating in the offices of the Jesuit Communication Centre in Ireland in 1999. The site guides visitors through a guided session of daily prayer utilizing a selection from the lectionary, as well as offers seasonal online guided retreats.
During this time Sacredspace.ie is offering a 14 Day self-directed retreat called the “Isolation Retreat”. This retreat centers around themes loosely based on the Spiritual Exercises of St Ignatius*. Each day has a specific theme, a preparatory prayer, related scripture quotes, some questions for reflection & concludes with a closing prayer. We hope that you will check out this wonderful resource.
