7 Last Words of Jesus – A Three Hour Devotion Noon – 3:00 pm on Good Friday *WILL BE LIVE STREAMED*
This liturgy involves a series of meditations by Father Erdman on the last seven words of Christ spoken from the cross. Between each meditation, there are prayers, psalms, hymns and periods of silence. While we encourage you to come for the entire three hours from noon to 3 p.m. if you are able, we understand that many worshipers can be here only for shorter periods of time. Even if you are able to be with us for only a half hour or an hour, please do come. The service ends at 3pm, the traditional time we commemorate the death of Christ.

Easter Dinner for the Homeless- THANK YOU
The Human Needs & Concerns Committee would like to thank everyone who helped provide the Easter Dinner at the Franciscan Kitchen on March 23rd. Your flexibility during the corona virus was amazing. Your donations of food, money, time, and efforts helped us to provide food for 650 Easter meals to those who otherwise may have gone without. Thank you for your support!!!
Preventing Child Abuse is Everyone’s Responsibility
April is Child Abuse Prevention Month. The Church is the body of Christ. All members are linked to one another and all have the responsibility to ensure the safety of children in parishes, schools, families, and local communities. We can do this by:
Developing appropriate and loving relationships with our children.
Teaching our children safety and healthy boundaries.
Knowing who has access to our children.
Learning the warning signs of abuse.
Reporting abuse to the appropriate authorities.
For more information about sexual abuse policies, safe environment programming, reporting, and other resources, click here.
Earth Day, April 22 – 50th Anniversary
Caring for God’s creation is one of the seven Catholic social teachings. Care for Creation. During this period of extended time at home, see how you can celebrate and care for God’s creation. Here are a few ideas from Catholic Climate Covenant:
Plant pollinator-friendly flowers and spread wildflower seeds.
Reuse, recycle, lower my consumption of resources
Use less water
Plant at least two trees in 2020
Wash clothes in cold water and hang-dry clothes
Install a programmable thermostat
Replace appliances with Energy Star-rated ones
Replace incandescent and compact fluorescent lights with LED lights
Reduce food waste
Compost leaves and food waste
Pray for our common home
