The Altar Server ministry is open to boys and girls beginning in the 4th grade. The ministry includes lighting candles, carrying the cross, holding the presider’s ritual book, assisting with the preparation of the altar, etc. Interested individuals need to attend a training session, be serious about this ministry and willing to serve when called. The annual time commitment is 10-12 hours per year.
