Parish Office Closed Memorial Day, Monday, May 25th Mass at 9:00 a.m. (No Noon Mass) Thank you to our veterans & soldiers for giving the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.
Dear St. Margaret Mary Family Member,
Hopefully you have read Archbishop Kurtz’s letter to all the faithful of our Archdiocese in the Record, but I wish to include some words of my own. Clicking on the link below, you will find our plans to resume the public celebration of the Mass. Please understand there may need to be revisions after the experience of our first weekend. We all rely on our prayers for one another and for the gift of discernment from the Holy Spirit. Let us be patient with one another and serve Christ in one another and for the common good of all.
A reminder, even with allowing for the celebration of “public” Mass, Archbishop Kurtz has issued a dispensation from the obligation to attend Mass on Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation for the Archdiocese of Louisville, until further notice. Anyone who is sick or living with someone who is sick or who feels vulnerable in any way should stay home. St. Margaret Mary will continue offering livestreamed Masses at 5:00 p.m. on Saturdays which would then be uploaded for later viewing, for those who cannot be physically present. Visit our website www.stmm.org or get our weekly email updates. Or you can watch “Mass of the Air” on TV.
Welcome our new Seminarian of Archdiocese of Louisville…
Quan Minh Nguyen
FAMILY BACKGROUND: My name is Quan Minh Nguyen. I was born in July 5, 1988 and raised in a Catholic family in the rural area of Vietnam. My father, Nguyen Huu Khiem (61 years old), and my mother, Bui Thi Huy (59 years old), live in Vietnam. My parents, virtuous parishioners, sowed the first seeds of faith for my life. They gave me the first experience of prayer and spiritual life. They also encouraged and gave me the first sense of serving God and people. I have one brother, Nguyen Phi Hung, and three sisters: Nguyen Thi Tan, Nguyen Thi Tien, and Nguyen Nhat Hong Nhung. I am the fourth child in my family. Two of the three sisters are nuns of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Congregation. My brother and sisters also play an important role in motivating and inspiring my vocational journey. Additionally, the religious traditions of my home parish helped to nurture my spiritual life, such as attending Mass and performing the popular piety in the Church every day. Those traditions have established an important foundation to grow my faith and vocation.
