Renewal of Dedication of our Nation to the Care of our Blessed Mother

Join Archbishop Kurtz and the rest of our nation in prayer.

Dear St. Margaret Family Member,

Last week Archbishop Kurtz, along with all the bishops who are members of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, invited us as a nation to reconsecrate ourselves and our nation to the care of our Blessed Mother Mary.  Below you will find the Archbishop’s invitation to join together at 3:00 PM tomorrow (Friday, May 1).  If you are unable to do so at that time, you will find attached the prayers which you may pray at anytime with your family.

We continue to support one another with our prayers and care for one another through the intercession of our Mother Mary.

Fr. Bill

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic gripping our world, Archbishop Kurtz is inviting all of us to join with Archbishop José H. Gomez of Los Angeles and president of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) as Archbishop Gomez leads a liturgy of the renewal of the consecration of the United States to the care of our Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church and Queen of Peace.

This liturgy will take place on Friday, May 1, 3:00 p.m. EDT and will be available on the USCCB website here or at the Archdiocese of Los Angeles webpage here. The EWTN television network also will air the liturgy. (For those areas served by Spectrum, EWTN will air the liturgy on the Faith Channel, Spectrum Channel 19 or Spectrum Channel 92. EWTN is on the AT&T Channel 562).  A liturgy guide for participation is attached.

This liturgy guide also may be used by clergy or laypersons to consecrate their parishes or homes to our Blessed Virgin Mary, alongside Archbishop Gomez. A video invitation from me and the liturgy guide for participation is online here.

Most Reverend Joseph E. Kurtz, D.D.
Archbishop of Louisville
